The South Pacific Pool Enclosures company has family and business connections with the
Czech Republic. Roland’s father Miroslav Paulik was born and raised in Brno. In 2003,
Miroslav was awarded the ‘Gratias Agit’ award and ‘Keys to the City of Brno’ for services to
the Czech Republic, which included being the honorary Czech consul in New Zealand.
The SPPE team has made many visits to the Czech Republic over the years to see family, to
vacation, and in Marc’s case, to represent New Zealand in tennis tournaments. On one
vacation in 2006, Roland and Wendy attended a Lifestyle Expo and discovered Alukov’s
world leading Pool Enclosure products. They saw a wonderful opportunity to import Pool
Enclosures to New Zealand given the variable climate and limitations for pool usage at
homes, schools and accommodation sites.

SPPE’s most outstanding product is the High Pool Enclosure range. Imagine an indoor
swimming pool that can be enjoyed right throughout the year in any weather and within
minutes the enclosure retracts for outdoor summer swimming. That is exactly what the High
Pool Enclosure range delivers. Pool Enclosures are also available in Medium and Low sizes,
with most models offering plenty of overhead space for undercover swimming.
So far, the company has installed 100+ Pool Enclosures across New Zealand. More
recently, the company has focused on building connections with Holiday Parks, Schools,
Swim Schools and Councils to share the Pool Enclosure concept. We believe that Pool
Enclosures are a relatively low-cost, incredibly practical and versatile solution to establish
more all-weather/all year swimming facilities for communities around New Zealand to enjoy.
SPPE has installed Pool Enclosures at schools in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
There are 1,000’s of children learning to swim at these amazing facilities every week.

The SPPE team is honored to be part of the CNZBA community. We look forward to meeting
other members and adding value to the connection between New Zealand and Czech
business enterprises.
